This two-day workshop provides an overview of your enhanced PeopleSoft system, from the graphical interface (PIA) to the new features introduced to PeopleTools. Participants begin by building an application in Tools 8.5. They will modify the application using new features as they are being discussed in class. Through discussions and hands-on activities, the instructor will explain and demonstrate the new PeopleTools changes.

PeopleCode Programming Release 8.5
This course provides participants with essential skills in the use of the PeopleCode programming language, which is used throughout your applications. Participants will learn how to write and modify PeopleCode programs to validate data with custom business rules, maintain the referential integrity of the data in the database, execute SQL commands, and customize the look and feel of PeopleSoft applications dynamically at run-time. This course includes a thorough explanation of object-oriented PeopleCode (objects, properties, and methods), with hands-on activities. We provide a solid grounding in the techniques for "traversing the buffer hierarchy" (Rowsets, Rows, Records, and Fields).

Data Management & Updates Release 8.5
This course teaches the essential skills and techniques used in maintaining a PeopleSoft system. Participants will learn how to apply updates and fixes, bundles, and maintenance packs. They will learn the fundamental concepts of upgrading a PeopleSoft database. This includes the compare process and how to analyze compare reports, the copy process, and how to apply subsequent adjustments.
